We introduce a new approach for Arabic spell-checking based on the user profile. it initially handles misspelling words (common errors) by applying rules and then corrects the remaining errors by using the user profile values. These rules were taken from The Book [1] which contains spelling rules classified into ten categories, each one has many rules. This XML file presents our implemented rules classified with six category tags as are the case in the book. We had implemented 24 rules since the remaining rules need diacritizing and morphological analysis that are outside the scope of the present work.
